- I purchased this microphone from ProSound in June and it replaced an older Shure SM58. I have been a Shure fan since the 80's but I had heard really good things about the OM2. As soon as I plugged it in I immediately noticed it was louder, clearer and punchier than my SM58. When I used it at a gig, it was louder than all of the other mics on stage and I really cut through in the mix. I am in love with this mic. Do yourself a favor and pick one up today.
